Scott founded Tactus in 2014; he is a proven business leader and entrepreneur. He has worked in the IT industry for 18 years and has successfully managed, funded and created a number of new businesses in the Information Technology sector. Scott has a Masters Degree in Strategic Business Management and was also the first UK member of the Apple European Council.
His knowledge and insight into technology products and future trends has been a key driver in guiding the Tactus Group into a global player.
He has connections with some of the biggest retailers in Europe and his relationships in Asia have secured the manufacturing and supply of our products at the right price, without compromising on quality.
John has spent 27 years in the IT and Consumer Electronics business.
In 2003 he joined Tech Data; in 2007, he returned from European responsibilities to the UK, going on to lead the corporate growth strategy that accelerated the business from £800m – £1.5bn.
His approach to business planning targets the organisation specifically at the long-term goal through everyday activities. He has a keen interest in technology and is very experienced at building winners.
He has an extensive and global network of relationships at all levels in the channel.
Non-Executive Investor Director
Peadar is a founding partner Praetura Capital LLP, a business specialising in venture investment and corporate advisory, which was incorporated in 2011. He became a member of the Tactus Group board in 2015 and is also Chairman of Big Red Group, a high growth eCommerce business which processes over 400,000 orders per annum, achieving average annual growth in revenue of 100% over the last three years.
He is also NED of Praetura Asset Finance and previously acted as Regional Director for ABN Amro, an established, UK asset backed, lending business for Bank of Ireland.
Karen has over seventeen years’ experience in the legal sector. She began her career at Andersen Legal (formerly Garretts) where her legal training began in a multi-disciplinary environment, resulting in qualifying as a Corporate solicitor.
In October 2013, she established her own business, BDM Legal Limited, where she practises as a corporate/commercial solicitor in the TMT sector.
In December 2013, she joined Tactus Group as a Non-Executive Director, to principally focus on the legal aspects of the business, and has since undertaken a global trademark registration programme and negotiated several key contracts for the business.
Non-Executive Strategic Director
Ben is an accomplished, award-winning entrepreneur operating in the UK’s digital and technology sectors.
He founded Digital Agency Rippleffect in 1999 and in 2008 he oversaw its acquisition by Trinity Mirror plc, the UK’s largest regional publisher, for £5.8m on the proviso that he would remain at the helm to guide the firm to further success. Further to this, he also took on the role of MD of Digital Marketing Services for Trinity Mirror leading an acquisition strategy of buying businesses complementary to Rippleffect.
In 2017, Ben joined Praetura Capital to drive its investments across digital, e-commerce and tech businesses and sits on a number of boards in a strategic capacity. Ben joined the Tactus Group board in 2016.
Over the years, Ben has been recognised highly as both an entrepreneur and a digital leader. He was once named as EN Magazine’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year and New Media Entrepreneur of the Year. He has been listed among the 33 most influential people working in technology, media and telecoms by the North West Business Insider, and ranked in the top 10 in the Drum Power 100.
